Key responsibilities

Responsible for the architecture and development of key functional areas of the AppFaktors application

What do we expect from you?

This highly technical leader will be responsible for the architecture and development of key functional areas of AppFaktors architecture application to ensure the system effectively delivers business value, is highly secure, scalable and available. Areas of oversight include system infrastructure, system architecture, design and development.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in computer science or equivalent with commercial software development experience and expert level experience in system programming and object oriented design.
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Java, Relational DBs and a wide range of internet technologies including as XML, HTML among others.
  • Broad expertise in business domain knowledge, ideally in application architecture space.
  • Demonstrated elegance and economy in design
  • Creative solutions that exceed/supersede direct requirements
  • Proven experience with working in fast-paced, small teams that follow flexible and adaptive methodologies.
  • Independent and self initiative in driving development and technical process improvement
  • Promote good coding standards and design principles. Be a zealot in this.
  • Effectively interface with customers and have a desire to delight customers
  • Excellent communication skills, technical mentor, great team player, highly efficient and responsible
  • A quick learner and creative problem solver and passion for solving tough problems
  • Demonstrated ability to come up with new creative/innovative product ideas
  • Knowledge and experience working with search engines and related technologies
